a yankee in Beograd

I’m watching harry potter on a gloomy morning (trying to get over my hangover with coffee!) and browsing through cool blogs i came across. One of them is named a yankee in belgrade and it is by an american woman named Bibi who lives in belgrad, serbia. She is also an incredible photographer! I literally spent over an hour looking at her posts (lots of pictures of snow!)

Im not from Serbia but it is very close to home, and i do have family living there, so i was very excited to see photos by someone who lives there (not postcard-like) and look at details like street signs and the different tree species and birds (there is a great picture of crows trying to steal a meal from a street dog!) I came across a picture of one of my favorite flowers that i used to pick early spring when i lived in ptuj, slovenia. It took me a really long time to find what the flower is called in english. Its snowdrops, (and thats also the name of this blog translated into serbian/bosnian/croatian.) below is a picture of the “visibabe”. If you get a chance to, check out bibi’s blog too.
